The renovation of Hotel Boutique Petit Miramar, located next to Malvarrosa Beach in Valencia, aims to reinterpret the close relationship between architecture, interior design and the Mediterranean landscape. The intervention focuses exclusively on the design of the interior spaces, with a carefully curated selection of materials, textures and finishes that bring the essence of the surrounding coastal environment into the building.
The project seeks to shape the guest experience from the very first moment, ensuring that the presence of the sea is felt not only through the views or proximity to the coastline, but also through a carefully crafted atmosphere.

The intervention brings the Mediterranean into the hotel’s interiors, using the blues of the sea and the warm tones of the sand as the guiding elements throughout the design. The colour palette draws inspiration from the natural transition between the beach and the horizon, creating calm, light-filled and balanced spaces that evoke the tranquillity of Valencia’s coastline. Natural light, an unmistakable feature of the setting, is complemented by warm, carefully designed artificial lighting that enhances the richness of the materials and creates a sense of comfort and well-being.
The project includes the complete renovation of the hotel reception, conceived as a welcoming space where elegance and warmth come together to create a memorable first impression. The design removes unnecessary elements in favour of a restrained, contemporary composition in which the quality of the materials takes centre stage. The reception thus becomes a defining expression of the hotel’s identity, conveying a sense of exclusivity while retaining the welcoming atmosphere and Mediterranean character that define the establishment.

The intervention also extends to the rooms and suites on the top floor, conceived as retreats for rest and relaxation, where materials and design come together to create a distinctive sensory experience. Each room follows a consistent design language, combining clean lines, carefully integrated furniture and a relaxed atmosphere that allows materials and light to take centre stage. The layout and finishes are designed to enhance the sense of space and provide a comfortable, elegant and timeless environment.
The choice of materials is one of the project’s defining features. Traditional Valencian ceramics bring identity and cultural heritage into the interiors, reinterpreting local craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. Carpets inspired by traditional woven rugs introduce texture and warmth, evoking the natural materials characteristic of the Mediterranean landscape. These elements are complemented by high-quality oak wood, which brings balance, sophistication and a sense of comfort, establishing a harmonious dialogue with the colour palette inspired by the sea and sand.
The result is a boutique hotel whose character lies in the subtlety of its details and the coherence of its interior design. A space where architecture and interior design work together to create an experience deeply connected to the Mediterranean, transforming each room into an extension of the coastal landscape and offering guests a serene, elegant atmosphere closely tied to Valencia’s identity.
